So yes, there is palm rejection, you just might notice a few weird things like I did while getting used to using windows 10 in tablet form. I guess the pen being too close to the screen cancels out touch input. Sometimes if I pinch and zoom in Photoshop using the same hand that is holding the pen, the touch gesture doesn't register. You can check the Surface pen’s battery like this: Press and hold the Eraser button that is on the end of the pen for about 5 to 7 seconds. If the battery runs out of power, the pen will not work. The experience is comparable to using professional drawing tablets, pressure sensitive and accurate.Ī few of the quirks I've noticed has been using touch gestures. Your Surface pen is using an AAAA battery as its power supply. The button is still fully functional, but it will not move my cursor or register on my screen. I don't write, but I draw and animate mostly. Pressing the pens top button still opens Windows Ink Workspace and it turns on and off without any issue or delay, so I have a hard time believing the battery is the problem. The palm rejection with the combo of the active stylus and Flex 5 has been great in my experience so far. The Lenovo active stylus uses Wacom AES tech while the Bamboo ink is dual protocol while also supporting AES. I haven't used the bamboo ink personally, but there is a guy online who does thorough reviews.
